This Biniboo Quiet book Clock page is great for learning numbers and counting. It is also great for understanding the concept of time.
You can make this Quiet book Clock page in no-sew technique, as long as you are willing to sew buttons by hand.
If you just started planning your quiet book, I suggest you read the Essential Guide to quiet books, where you can read about the process of making a quiet book. You will understand the correlation between page preparations and busy book bindings.
If you want to use the no-sew method, I kindly suggest reading an article about gluing before you start, to find out if your glue is suitable for making no-sew quiet book activities. Also, do a test and make sure your hot glue doesn’t melt the felt.
If you will make a sewn quiet book, make sure you know how to sew felt in quiet books correctly.
QUIET BOOK CLOCK PAGE
NO-SEW & SEWING INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1
If you haven’t already, first, create a fabric page base (sewing) or felt page base (no-sewing). Download and print the FREE PDF Clock Quiet Book Pattern for this activity and cut out all the shapes. You can find the pattern at the bottom of the page.
Put the paper pieces on a stiff felt, transcribe them, and then cut them out from felt. If you don’t want to waste hours searching for all the materials you need and transcribing and cutting the felt, check my DIY store where you can buy a pre-cut DIY kit for this activity page.

STEP 2
Place twelve circles in the form of a circle on the page and glue (or sew around) every one of them.
STEP 3
Put the numbers on the circles in the correct order and glue (or sew) them on the black circles.
No-sew method: You can use permanent fabric glue instead of hot glue gun – it is easier to use it because numbers are small and with hot glue gun you can quickly burn your fingers.
Sewing method: Use the needle position in the center.
STEP 4
Glue together (or sew around them) two minute hands. Do the same for two hour hands.
STEP 5
Mark the center of the clock – the location of where you’ll manually sew the minute hand, the hour hand, and a star button (you can use any other shape or a regular a small rounded button). Sew with a thin needle and a double thread.
STEP 6
First, put a piece of stiff fusible interfacing on the back of the page, precisely under the button location. Start sewing from the back of the page to the front.
Put 4 beads on the thread in the front, then put hour hand and minute hand on the beads and then insert the button. When sewing back, go through the beads again. Repeat four times. When you finish, make a knot at the backside of the page and cut off the excess thread.
You finished the Biniboo Quiet Book Clock page. Congrats!
